Hambüchen Returns to Competition

Less than a month after tearing a ligament in his foot during podium training at the World Championships, Germany's Fabian Hambüchen is set to return to competition. The 22-year-old plans on competing on pommel horse, rings and high bar at a Bundesliga meet on 7 November. Hambüchen represents KTV Straubenhardt, the current leaders in the Bundesliga - the league that determines the German club champion.  "The doctors gave him the go ahead as long as he doesn't rush things," father and coach Wolfgang told German newsagency dpa. Hambüchen has been able to train well all week and may still be able to compete at the final leg of the Champions Trophy in Stuttgart on 15 November.
He is currenty in second place behind Russia's Maxim Devyatovski.
